Redheaded Fairy by meezerkat Redheaded Fairy by meezerkat
I drew this in 1991 (on April 17th, if you want to get technical ;). I had a limited amount of colored pencils to work with, which is why her hair is composed of only two colors.

She reminds me of my Holly character that I did for BRIO magazine ("Holly and the Ivy Halls").

Pen, pencils and colored pencils.

Hah, yeah, she does. I don't think I was thinking of her, though, when I drew this fairy.

Now, Holly, I maaaaaay have been thinking of that woman. You never know. Holly does have freckles and curly hair like this woman we both know. ;)

Yes, I did say BRIO. My comic, "Holly and the Ivy Halls," appeared in the pages of BRIO for ten years, from 1994 until 2004, when it was discontinued. I probably should post a couple of my Hollys here for those who might not be familiar with her. Someday I would like to take all the strips I did and compile them into a graphic comic or something like that.

I'm glad you like BRIO. I like it a lot, and really enjoyed reading it myself, even if I'm 'way too old for it. I've always been impressed by the quality of it--good articles, great editors, well-put together.

That's so cool! 8D
-That'd be awesome if you could do a graphic novel like that. X3

I know,I feel the same way about the magazine. Unfortunately due to the econmy(Sorry bad spelling. ;-.-) ,Focus On The Family had to make cuts so Brio is longer being printed currently, but they have been bought by another christian company KOR MISSIONS and hope to be able to print theyr'e mags again sometime soon.(I'm hoping it will be some time soon. XD)

I know how you feel, I always loved looking at BRIO, but then, IT STOPPED. <me:long drawn-out noooooo>

But then, I didn't know that they might be printing again, so that's good to hear.
