Not only myself, but my boss and my two co-workers in our little department. The other department that works in the same office space lost about five people, including the wife of the assistant pastor of the old church we used to go to (I sit--or used to sit--right across from her at work). She is a dear friend and I will miss her--she was literally the heart of our office; always had a kind word for everyone, very sweet and loving. I guess her health has not been good lately, so this may actually be a blessing in disguise. But for now, I have been passed over in the layoffs. Thank God--literally.

And thanks to those who were lifting me up in prayer.

We were off at the beach this past weekend. Sun, fun and pirates :pirate: (they were having "Pirate Days" at the little coastal town we were visiting). We camped out four days in our folding tent-trailer. Only had rain one evening, the rest of the time it was sunny, windy and cool (not cold).

I'll be busy with work and getting ready for the third. We're having guests over--:iconpdloomis: and :iconyume-no-koe: are coming from out of town to run up to Seattle to visit Uwajimaya's (wonderful Asian grocery store with a Kinokuniya's bookstore and lots of lovely Japanese goods for sale) and then celebrate an early 4th at my house with our other friends.

Next week I hope to get back into my art. :D

I love what you did with it. It would make a great piece of art for an article in a Christian magazine. You might consider submitting it, if you haven't already. :)

There are lots in the United States. I can suggest "BRIO" magazine for Christian teen girls for a start. Just look it up on the internet. There's another one for boys named "Breakaway." Both are published by the Christian organization Focus on the Family.
